Share the meme video, add a photo of each friend, and Spark keeps the staging and timing with your group cast in it. Read what a trend remake is if this is new.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- The meme as a video, from a platform or your camera roll.
- One clear photo of each person who plays a part. Face to camera, good light.
- A line for the text. Rift does not add it, so you type it when you post.
Step by step
- Find the format. Open the meme video and note how many people it has.
- Share it into Rift. Tap Share, then Rift.
- Cast your friends. Add a photo for each role. Tell Spark who plays whom.
- Check the Draft. Spark describes how it will keep the staging and swap the people. The price is on the Make button.
- Make. Tap Make, then wait for Spark’s note. The video is saved in your Library.
- Write the text when you post. Rift does not add it, so type it in the app you post to.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Me as the one pointing, Sam as the one who’s confused.”
- “Cast my brother, my cousin and my dog in the three roles.”
- “Make the office team the people at the table.”
- “My sourdough starter is the one on the ground” (a photo of the jar).
- “Replace the girl in the middle with my nan, keep the reaction.”
Tips
- Choose a format with simple staging. One room, one angle and two to four people are easiest.
- Cast by personality. The friend who always complains plays the unhappy part best.
- Get consent. Ask your friends before posting a meme with their face.
- Stay in the framing. Photos that match the meme’s angle, front-on or three-quarter, blend better.
- Write the joke first. Knowing the line helps you choose the shot, and you can add it quickly later.
Beyond classic memes
Use it for in-jokes with your family, a team’s running gag, or a pet’s famous reaction. Anything that works as a short staged scene is fair game.
