About Rift
What is Rift?
Rift is an iPhone app for video, without the editing. You share a video or a photo, tell Spark, Rift's video agent, what you want, and Spark plans the shots and makes it. You can star in a trend, put your pet or your product in a video, or give a photo a new look.
Who is Spark?
Spark is Rift's video agent, a fox. Spark watches the video you share, works out the shots and sets up a Draft with you. You tap Make when it looks right.
What can I make with Rift?
Videos up to 15 seconds and pictures. You can remake a video you saw with you, your friends or a character in it, turn a photo into a video, make a video or picture from a line of words, restore or restyle a photo, try on an outfit, and make an ad from a product photo.
Is Rift on Android?
Not yet. Rift is an iPhone app.
When is Rift on the App Store?
Rift is on the App Store now. It's free to download.
Making videos
How do I put myself in a video I saw?
Tap Share on the video in TikTok, Instagram or YouTube and pick Rift. Spark asks for one photo of you, shows you a Draft, and you tap Make.
Do I need editing skills?
No. You say what you want in plain words. Spark does the editing: the shots, the timing and who goes where.
How long can a video be?
Up to 15 seconds. If the original is longer, Spark sets up the best 15.
Can Rift add music, captions or a voice?
Not yet. Rift makes the video; add the trend's sound and any text in the app you post to.
Can I use the same face in many videos?
Yes. Add yourself, a friend or a made-up character once from a few photos, then use them in any video.
Price and privacy
Is Rift free?
Rift is free to download and your first remakes are free. After that, Makes use NRG, which comes with a Plus, Pro or Max plan or in packs.
How do I know what a Make costs?
Every Make shows its NRG on the button before you tap. Stop anytime; a stopped Make isn't charged.
Who owns what I make?
You do. What you make is yours to post anywhere.
Does Rift learn from my videos?
Only if you say yes. Rift asks after your first video, and the answer is no until you allow it.
How do I delete my account?
In Rift, open Profile and choose Delete Account and Data.
