Add a family photo and tell Spark the reunion table. Relatives in other cities and countries can be seated together in a greeting you send before the day.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A clear photo of each person, face to camera.
- The details: lanterns, red outfits, dumplings, a table, a street.
- Optional: a photo of your own home or family table.
Step by step
- Tell Spark the reunion. Name who is there, the room and the time of day.
- Add the photos. Pick each person from your camera roll.
- Say what everyone wears. One line for the group is enough.
- Check the Draft. Reply to change the lanterns, the table or the order of people.
- Make. Tap Make, leave the app if you like, and find the video in your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My whole family in red outfits around a big round table of dumplings, lanterns above.”
- “Me and my cousins on a lantern-lit street, laughing, holding red envelopes.”
- “Grandma handing out red envelopes to the kids in a warm living room.”
- “Our family at the door of the house with a new red banner, evening light.”
- “My shop front with red lanterns and a lucky sign (add a photo of the shop).”
Tips for a clear festive scene
- Pick one red thing. Lanterns, outfits or banners. Too many compete.
- Name the table. Round tables, dumplings and tea set the scene where “festive food” does not.
- Keep it warm. Ask for warm indoor light.
- Mind the group size. Up to six people read clearly in one shot.
- Make it early. Finish a week before the date to send it in time.
Other celebrations
The same steps suit Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or other new year traditions with your own details in the line. For the family-scene basics, see how to make a family scene video from photos.
