How to make a family scene video from photos

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of each person to Rift, including relatives who live far away, then tell Spark the scene, such as everyone at one dinner table. Spark brings them into the same place, shows a Draft, and you tap Make. You get a short family video of up to 15 seconds in your Library. Rift is an iPhone app.

Add a photo of each relative and tell Spark the shared scene, such as one dinner table. Relatives in other cities can sit in the same room.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Gather the photos. Ask relatives to send a clear one.
  2. Add each person. In Rift, add them one by one, and save them as characters if you will use them again.
  3. Describe the scene. Where, what time of day, and what everyone is doing.
  4. Check the Draft. Spark names who stands where.
  5. Make. Tap Make and send it from your Library.
