How to make a Hanukkah greeting video with your family from photos

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of each family member to Rift and tell Spark the Hanukkah scene, for example everyone gathered around a lit menorah at a window with snow outside. Spark sets up a Draft with the price on the Make button. Tap Make and you get a short greeting video of up to 15 seconds. Rift is an iPhone app.

A menorah lit in a window is a picture many families want to share. A short video with the family around it, grandparents and cousins included, is a way to do that when you are not in the same city.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Tell Spark the scene. Say who is there, which night it is and where the menorah stands.
  2. Add the photos. Pick each person from your camera roll. Add the menorah photo if you have one.
  3. Check the Draft. Spark shows the plan. Reply to adjust the room or the number of candles.
  4. Make. Tap Make. You can leave the app, and the finished video is in your Library.
  5. Share. Send it in a family chat, or post it for friends.
