How to delete your videos, chats or account in Rift

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

To delete a video, open it in your Library and choose Delete, or select several and delete them together. To delete a chat with Spark, delete the conversation. To delete everything, go to Profile and choose Delete Account and Data, then confirm. Rift also asks after your first video whether it may learn from your videos, and the answer is off until you say yes.

  1. Open Library.
  2. Open the video.
  3. Choose Delete and confirm.

  1. In Library, select the videos.
  2. Choose Delete and confirm.

Delete a chat with Spark

Before you delete

Learning from your videos

After your first video, Rift asks whether it may learn from your videos to make Spark better. It’s off until you say yes.

Questions people ask

Can I undo a delete?

No. A deleted video or account is gone, so save anything you want to keep to your camera roll first.

Does deleting my account cancel my plan?

Plans are billed by Apple. Cancel in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions.

What about videos I already posted elsewhere?

Copies you posted on other apps stay there. Delete them in those apps.

Can I stop Rift learning from my videos?

Yes. The choice is off unless you say yes, and you can change it later.
