These are different tools for different jobs. The useful question is what you need the video to be.
What you need
- A clear idea of the job: a record of real life, or a short made clip.
- Your photos, and a sense of where the video will be shown.
Step by step
- Write down what the video must show. Real people and places, or an idea?
- If it must be real, book a videographer.
- If it’s a short clip from photos, tell Spark the scene in Rift.
- Check the Draft, then tap Make.
- Mix both when a project needs real footage and a quick extra.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My bakery’s chocolate cake turning slowly on a stand.”
- “Me walking into a giant ice cream shop.”
- “My dog as a tiny superhero on a rooftop.”
- “My car parked on a mountain road at sunset.”
Tips
- Weddings, events and interviews are for a person with a camera.
- Short product and idea clips suit an app.
- Ask for examples from any videographer you consider.
