How to swap the sneakers in a video for your own pair

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Share the video to Rift, add a clear photo of your own sneakers, and tell Spark to swap the shoes and keep everything else. Spark plans the shots and shows a Draft. Tap Make and you get a version of up to 15 seconds with your pair on the feet. Check the laces, logo and colour in the result.

Street-style clips, shoe drops and walking shots are all about the shoes. If you sell sneakers, or just own a pair you love, you can take a clip with good light and a good walk and put your pair in it.

Edits that keep your clip frame for frame are made but not yet measured, so treat the first result as a take to check.

Questions people ask

Will the walk and the camera stay the same?

Spark keeps the scene and the move as closely as it can. Small details can drift, so check the result and make another take if needed.

Can I swap only the shoes and keep the outfit?

Yes. Say 'swap only the shoes' in your line.

Can I swap a bag, a jacket or a watch the same way?

Yes. Add a photo of your item and name what to swap.

Does the photo need to be from the side?

A side or three-quarter photo of the whole shoe works best, with the sole and laces visible.

What if my sneakers have a busy pattern or logo?

Use a sharp, well-lit photo, then check the laces, logo and colour in the result.
