Take any dance or walk-and-pose trend and put it in a different decade. The same dance in a 1970s disco is a different post from the same dance in a bedroom. This page is the era version of same trend, new setting. For any trend, see how to remake any trend with you in it.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A trend clip of 15 seconds or less.
- A photo of yourself, face visible.
- An era in mind.
Step by step
- Share the clip. Tap Share and pick Rift.
- Add your photo.
- Name the decade. Add the clothes, the place and the picture look.
- Check the Draft. Spark shows what stays (the moves) and what changes (the world).
- Make. Tap Make. Save to Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Same dance, but in a 1980s arcade, neon lights, grainy VHS look.”
- “Same walk, but a 1970s disco floor with a mirror ball, warm film.”
- “Same routine in a 1950s diner, black and white.”
- “Same trend in a 1990s mall, camcorder look.”
- “Same clip, but my dog as the lead, in a 1960s living room.”
Tips for a clean result
- Name three details. Clothes, place, picture look.
- Keep one era. Do not mix the 70s and the 90s.
- Use a clean clip. One person, one move.
- Pick colours that fit. Teal and pink for the 80s, brown and orange for the 70s.
Beyond decades
Try a medieval market, a space station, a Western town or a snowy cabin. For the original guide, see same trend, new setting.
