Hand Spark the original video and one photo of you, and Spark does the editing: the same moves, camera path and beat, with you in them. No learning the dance and no ten takes.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- The trend video, on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or in your camera roll.
- One photo of you: face to camera, good light, nothing covering your face. A half-body photo helps if the trend shows outfits.
Step by step
- Find the trend. Open the video you want to be in.
- Share it into Rift. Tap Share, then Rift. If Rift isn’t in the row, tap More and turn it on once.
- Tell Spark who stars. Spark watches the clip and asks who should be in it. Add your photo, or pick yourself if you’ve added yourself before.
- Say what to change, if anything. Keep it to one line. Spark plans the shots and shows a Draft with its price on the Make button.
- Make. Tap Make. You can leave the app; Spark tells you when it’s ready, and it’s saved to your Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Put me in this, keep everything else.”
- “Me and Sam, same moves, same street.”
- “Same dance, but at night in the snow.”
- “Swap the dancer for my dog.”
- “Put me in this, wearing my red jacket” (add a photo of the jacket).
Tips for a clean result
- Pick clips with one clear person for your first go. Crowds and fast cuts are harder for any app.
- Match the framing. A full-body dance looks best with a photo that shows more than your face.
- Short beats long. The best part of a trend is often 5 to 8 seconds. Ask for “just the drop” if you want it tight.
- Post with the sound. Add the trend’s sound in the app you post to, so your video joins the trend page.
Not just people
The same steps work for a pet (“put my cat in this”), a product (“my sneakers instead of theirs”) or a place (“same walk, but on my street”). Spark keeps the moment and changes what’s in it.
