One clear photo of your ring, mug, print or bag is enough for Spark to build a short video that shows how the item moves, catches the light and sits in a room.
This guide is for one handmade or small-batch item and one listing. For the general product-ad version, see how to turn a product photo into a video ad.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One sharp photo of the item, whole object in frame, true colour.
- A setting that suits the buyer: a kitchen shelf for a mug, a wrist for a bracelet, a desk for a notebook.
Step by step
- Add the photo. Open Rift and add the item from your camera roll.
- Tell Spark the scene. One setting, one move, one kind of light.
- Check the Draft. Spark shows what stays (your item, its colour, its details) and what changes (the set and the camera).
- Make. Tap Make. The price is on the button before you tap, and you can Stop anytime.
- Save and upload. The video is in your Library. Add it to the listing in Etsy.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My ceramic mug on a worn oak table, steam rising, camera slowly pushing in, morning window light.”
- “My silver ring on a linen cloth, slow turn so the stone catches the light.”
- “My hand-bound notebook opening on a desk with a pen beside it, soft side light.”
- “My leather card holder sliding out of a jacket pocket, close shot.”
- “My ceramic planter on a sunny sill with a trailing plant, gentle breeze.”
Tips for a clean result
- Photograph the real thing. Spark keeps the colour and details it can see. A photo that looks like your item gives a video that looks like your item.
- Show every edge. If the photo crops the handle or the clasp, it gets invented.
- One move. A slow turn or a push-in reads cleaner than a busy scene.
- Match the scene to the buyer. Cosy light for homeware, clean light for jewellery.
- Make two takes. Post the one that holds attention longer.
Beyond Etsy
The same steps suit a market stall, a craft-fair table or your own shop page. Handmade soap, a knitted hat, a hand-painted sign or a pet bandana all work from a single photo.
