How to turn a selfie into a professional headshot on iPhone

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a clear, front-facing selfie to Rift and ask Spark for a work headshot with a plain backdrop, a smart jacket and soft light. Spark sets up a Draft with up to 4 versions at once. Choose the one that looks most like you, tap Make, and save it to Library for your profile.

A good headshot opens doors, but a studio booking is a lot for a profile picture. A clear selfie and a few lines to Spark can get you a clean, professional picture.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add the selfie to Rift.
  2. Tell Spark the headshot. Name the backdrop, the clothes and the light.
  3. Check the Draft. Ask for up to 4 versions to compare. The price is on the Make button.
  4. Tap Make, pick the one that looks like you on a good day.
  5. Save to Library and crop to the shape your profile needs.
