Small, shiny things are hard to film. Reflections fight you, and a phone camera hunts for focus. A short video that shows light moving across a stone is what a buyer wants to see, and you can build it from a photo.
This is the narrow version for rings, necklaces, earrings and watches. The general flow is in how to turn a product photo into a video ad.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One sharp, close photo of the piece on a plain surface, with soft light from a window and no flash.
- A mood: dark and rich, bright and airy, or on-skin and personal.
Step by step
- Add the photo. Open Rift and add the piece.
- Tell Spark one move and one light. “Slow turn, a glint crossing the stone.”
- Check the Draft. Spark shows the shots and keeps your piece as the subject.
- Make. Tap Make and watch the price on the button first.
- Compare. Save to Library and make a second look if you want to choose.
Lines to try with Spark
- “My gold ring on dark green velvet, slow turn, a glint sweeping across the stone.”
- “My pearl necklace lying on white marble, camera drifting along the strand.”
- “My steel watch on a wrist, hand turning in window light, close shot.”
- “My silver earrings hanging from a branch with morning dew behind.”
- “My engagement ring box opening on a table, ring lit from inside.”
Tips for a clean result
- Shoot flat on and close. The more pixels on the piece, the more Spark can match.
- Avoid flash. It flattens the metal and burns the stone.
- Keep the background plain. Spark builds the set, so give it a clear subject.
- Pick one move. A turn, a glint or a reveal. Not all three.
- Check small details in the Draft. Clasps and engraving are the first things to look at.
Beyond rings
Cufflinks, glasses frames, hair clips, a keyring, a hand-stamped pendant. If it is small and catches light, the steps are the same.
