How to make a game day fan video of yourself, with no logos

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Add a photo of yourself and your friends to Rift and tell Spark the game day scene, such as a roaring stadium crowd in plain red and blue scarves or a living room watch party. Spark plans the shots and sets up a Draft. Tap Make and you get a fan video of up to 15 seconds. Rift is an iPhone app.

Add a photo of yourself, or of you and your friends, and tell Spark the stands or the sofa. Plain team colours look clean on screen, and no logo is needed.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Tell Spark the scene. Say the setting, the colours and the mood.
  2. Add the photos. Pick each friend from your camera roll.
  3. Say what everyone wears. Plain scarves, painted faces, big foam hands.
  4. Check the Draft. Reply to change the crowd size or the moment.
  5. Make. Tap Make and find the video in your Library when Spark is done.

The same approach works for a finals night, a school game or a local league. For bigger groups in motion, see how to make a group dance video from one group photo.

Questions people ask

Can I put a real team's jersey in it?

Keep to your own ideas, like plain colours and made-up team names. Rift is for you and your people, not for other companies' marks.

Can I make it a watch party instead of a stadium?

Yes. Say the sofa, the snacks and the TV and Spark builds the room.

Can I add a score or team name on screen?

Rift does not add text over video yet. Add it when you post.

Can I put my dog in a fan scarf?

Yes. Add a clear photo of your dog and say the scarf.

Can my friends be in it too?

Yes, with their OK. Add a photo of each person and tell Spark where everyone sits.
