Choose one strong image from your book and describe it to Spark: the place, the mood, one thing moving. You get a single-shot teaser of up to 15 seconds for your page or newsletter.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- One scene or setting from your book that readers remember.
- Your own cover or artwork, if you want to start from it.
Step by step
- Choose one image, not the whole plot.
- Tell Spark the place, the mood, the weather and one movement.
- Check the Draft and trim anything that is not in the scene.
- Tap Make after seeing the price on the button.
- Post it from your Library and add the title there.
Lines to try with Spark
- “A lighthouse on black cliffs in a storm, a single lit window, waves crashing, slow push-in.”
- “A lone woman in a long grey coat walks across a foggy station platform at dawn.”
- “An old library at night, one lamp on, a book opens by itself and pages turn.”
- “A desert road at sunset, a dusty red car parked, door open, nobody in sight.”
- “A small town square in winter, a stranger’s footprints leading to a locked door.”
Tips
- Sell the mood, not the plot.
- Use a single image your readers can picture.
- Leave faces out if your hero needs to stay yours in readers’ minds.
- Match the genre. Cold light for a thriller, warm for a romance.
