Add a photo, tell Spark what should move, and Rift makes a video of up to 15 seconds. Pick one thing to move well, such as a smile, a wave or a camera push.
What you need
- An iPhone with Rift.
- A photo in your camera roll, as sharp as you can find.
- One idea of what should move.
Step by step
- Add the photo. Open Rift, start with Spark and choose your photo.
- Tap Turn into a video. Spark looks at the picture and asks what should happen.
- Describe the movement. Short is best: “slow zoom, gentle breeze”.
- Check the Draft. Spark plans the shot and shows the price on the Make button.
- Make. Tap Make. You can leave the app. Spark tells you when it is ready, and the video waits in Library.
Lines to try with Spark
- “Slow push in, she turns to the camera and smiles.”
- “My dog shakes off the water and runs toward us.”
- “The perfume bottle on a table, light sweeps across the glass.”
- “Clouds roll over the valley, golden light grows.”
- “My red car on the coast road, camera follows low and fast.”
Tips
- Pick sharp, well-lit photos. Blur in means blur out.
- Ask for one movement. A single clear action suits Rift more than a list. Add a second only if the first works.
- Leave space to move. If you want a pan or a zoom, use a photo with room around the subject.
- Keep faces natural. For people, ask for small movements: a blink, a smile, a turn of the head.
- Use the full frame for products. A clean background with room for light sweeps makes a product video look polished.
Beyond a single photo
Try an old family photo, a house you want to sell, a menu dish, a pet portrait, or a holiday snap. Anything you have already shot can become a moving picture.
