How to make product photos for your shop from one phone photo

Updated · Reviewed by The Rift team

Short answer

Take a clean phone photo of your product, add it in Rift, and tell Spark, Rift's video agent, the shot: on marble with morning light, held in a hand at a café, in a winter scene. Ask for up to four versions. Spark keeps the product and its label, and changes the setting. Tap Make, pick in Library, and turn your best one into a video.

One sharp phone photo of your product becomes up to four pictures of it in different settings, for the listing, the socials or a seasonal banner, with no studio shoot.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Photograph the product by a window on a plain sheet.
  2. Add it in Rift and say the setting and the light.
  3. Keep the product exact: “keep the product and label exactly”.
  4. Ask for four versions, check the Draft, and Make.
  5. Pick in Library, and turn the best one into a video for socials.

Tips

Questions people ask

Will it keep my label and colours?

Say "keep the product and label exactly". A sharp photo with the label facing the camera helps.

Can I make a matching set?

Yes. Use the same line with each product so the light and setting match.

Can I use the pictures in ads?

What you make is yours to post anywhere, including your shop and ads.

Can I add a model holding it?

Yes. Say "held by a hand" or add a photo of someone who agrees to be in it.
