If you want to see yourself doing the move everyone is doing, Viggle and Rift are two honest options. They get there differently. Below is what we could check, the date, and who each suits. We make Rift, so we link every Viggle fact to its own pages.
Two ways to the same clip
Viggle describes its app as motion-controlled video: choose from its templates or bring your own, and put your character into them. Rift starts from a video you saw. You share it, Spark watches it, you say who stars, and Spark sets up a Draft.
Side by side (checked 2026-10-21)
| Criteria | Rift | Viggle |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone app | iPhone app on the App Store | “Viggle AI: Meme Maker”, iOS 16.0 or later |
| How you start | Share a video from TikTok, Reel or Short, add one from your camera roll, or tell Spark in words | Pick from 8,000+ templates or bring your own, per its App Store listing |
| Talks to you | Spark plans the shots; you reply in words | See the app |
| Free use | Free to download, first remakes are free | Up to 5 free video generations per day, per the App Store; free plan has a watermark, per its pricing page |
| Paid plans | Plus, Pro and Max, bought in the app | Weekly, monthly and yearly plans in the App Store, plus extra packs; see the app for current numbers |
| Live mode | Not in Rift | Real-time character swap from a webcam, streamed to apps such as Twitch or YouTube |
| Characters | Made once from a few photos, reused in any video | See the app |
| Length | Up to 15 seconds, one shot | See the app |
| Price before you spend | On the Make button | See the app |
| Stopped Make | Isn’t charged | See the app |
| Not in Rift yet | Films, captions, music, voice, lip-sync, longer videos | Not applicable |
Viggle’s App Store listing and its website show different plan prices today, so we do not print one. Look at the pricing screen in the app.
Pick Viggle if
- You want a large template library of dances and memes and a free daily allowance.
- You want a live mode that mirrors your movements in real time.
- You need lip-sync templates, which Rift doesn’t have yet.
Pick Rift if
- You saw one particular video and want you, your friend or your dog in it, with the moves and camera kept.
- You’d rather describe changes in a sentence than browse templates.
- You want the price on the Make button before you tap, and a stopped Make not charged.
Try the same clip in both
The fairest test is one source video, one clear photo, and both apps. Look at how well the moves are kept, whether your face holds up and what each shows you before you spend. Tell us what you find and we will fix this page if we got something wrong.
What we don’t say
We don’t claim Rift is cheaper, quicker or better. Rift shows its price on the Make button before you tap, and a Viggle number we can’t date and match would not be fair.
